Following a first call with limited participation of teams in the Spanish pilot, the second edition of the NewEcoSmart Hackathon (NESHack), held from October 2nd to 4th, 2024, was a resounding success with 22 participants. This online event brought together seven teams of innovators who worked intensively to develop innovative solutions focused on the challenges of green and digital transitions, as well as social innovation in rural areas.
Together with the first team that took part in the first one, the jury analysed the eight projects proposed for the Spanish pilot and its challenges. In the end, the winning teams were
- Tracking Loneliness – First Prize
- People with Intellectual Disabilities – Second Prize
- Itinerant Program of Digital Training – Third Prize
The NES team extends its congratulations to all the participants and invites them to continue developing their projects through the Open Call, which will provide funding opportunities to further advance their innovative solutions.
Stay tuned for the release of team videos showcasing their ideas on the NES website, and keep an eye out for more opportunities to participate in future events!
