Results of the NewEcoSmart Open Call: Winners Announced!

The NewEcoSmart project is pleased to announce the results of its Open Call, which concluded with a rigorous evaluation process. A total of 11 proposals were submitted, but only 9 were evaluated due to eligibility criteria. Of these, 4 proposals targeted the pilot in Portugal, 4 focused on the Spanish pilot, and 1 was for the Italian pilot.

A Thorough Three-Phase Evaluation Process

The evaluation process was designed to ensure transparency and fairness. It comprised three distinct phases:

  1. Individual Evaluation: Two experts from our evaluation board independently assessed each proposal.
  2. Consensus Evaluation: Experts collaborated to align their evaluations, achieving a consensus on the scoring and feedback.
  3. Final Review Panel: The review panel finalized the ranking, scoring, and all remaining details.

This structured approach ensured that every proposal was evaluated with precision and consistency.

Communication and Next Steps

The evaluation results have been communicated to all participants this week. In the coming weeks, the three selected winners will proceed to sign their Grant Agreements with CETEM. This marks the beginning of the implementation phase for the selected proposals in their respective pilots.

We thank all participants for their innovative ideas and contributions to the Open Call. Together, we continue driving social innovation, green transitions, and digital transformation in rural areas.

Stay tuned for updates on the winners and their groundbreaking initiatives!
