NES presented in the International Conference Building Sustainable and Participatory Environments

NewEcoSmart was presented in the International Conference Building Sustainable and Participatory Environments, in Porto, Portugal. This was an event co-organised by SHINE 2Europe and the University of Porto, on May 7th  with almost 100 attendees.

Ignacio Pedrosa, from CTIC, presented our project in a Panel of “Bringing Innovation to Market”, highlighting the major results we expect during the project, and how it can help in bringing innovation to the market field, not forgetting the need to adapt it to the rural areas in Europe. This project was also referred to in the Panel “Addressing literacies, skills & lifelong learning”, by Juliana Louceiro (SHINE) and Mónica Sousa (AD ELO), where the use of gamification and e-learning platforms were pointed out as important resources to be used in rural areas, where the citizens often cannot access formal training, like it is possible in the bigger cities.

NES was honoured to be a part of the International Conference Building Sustainable and Participatory Environments and contribute to the discussion around these topics that should be central in the agenda in order to guarantee that no one is left behind, in different areas of society.
