The NewEcoSmart Open Call has successfully identified three transformative projects that align with the goals of social innovation, green transitions, and digital transformation in rural areas. With the support of the consortium and the active participation of all stakeholders, these projects are set to drive real change.
The three winning projects and their organizations are:
- Spain: Inwire S.L. – Project: AGRIoT: Smart AgriTech Training for IoT-Enabled Agriculture in Small Farms
This project aims to leverage the power of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to improve agriculture practices in small farms across Spain, enhancing both productivity and sustainability.
- Portugal: Associação Cultural e Recreativa do Seixo de Mira – Project: Seixo – Green, Digital, Inclusive and Cultural Village
This initiative focuses on creating a green, digital, and inclusive rural village in Seixo de Mira, blending sustainability with cultural engagement to empower local communities.
- Italy: Palermo Urban Solutions Hub – Project: Agorà: The Rural Future Hub is Here
Agorà will serve as a dynamic space for fostering innovation and collaboration in rural Italy, facilitating community-driven solutions for a greener, more sustainable future.
The winners started its implementation phase in February 1st until the end of June 2025.
