The AD ELO hosted a delegation from Lithuania and from Portugal Inovação Social, through the EaSI Focal Point Host Program, on May 27th, 2024. The event, organized by the Portugal EaSI Focal Point, promoted an important exchange of experiences and sharing of good practices between the two countries, focusing on social inclusion, employment and labour mobility policies and projects.
Recognized for the positive impact of its projects in the Center Region of Portugal, AD ELO was chosen to host a visit in this context. During the visit, projects were presented in the areas of entrepreneurship, training and digital and social inclusion – NewEcoSmart – and also in the area of active and healthy ageing – VirtuALL – resulting in an enriching exchange of ideas and strategies and offering inspiration for possible adaptations in Lithuania.
The meeting highlighted the importance of this type of exchange in strengthening social and economic policies at European level, as international cooperation is essential in developing innovative solutions to tackle current social challenges. It also highlighted the role of local development organisations in implementing effective inclusion and employment policies, ending with a commitment to continue collaborating and sharing good practices.
